Lucky Jackson’s is an independently owned neighborhood cocktail bar in Wilmette, created as an antidote to the predictable corporate bar experience.

Inspired by mid-century cocktail culture, travel lounges, and the kind of places where a properly made drink still matters, Lucky Jackson’s brings together timeless classics, inventive house cocktails, thoughtful wines, and a terrific food menu that ranges from cheeseburgers to caviar—all within a warm neighborhood atmosphere that is stylish without being “fancy.” There are no TVs...just a turntable.

Chris and Margie Karabas have called Wilmette home for more than 20 years, where they’ve raised their three children. Their previous venture, the wildly popular Rock House, blended a children’s music school with an espresso bar, wine lounge, and live music venue—creating a one-of-a-kind community gathering place.

While Rock House was built around kids and families, Lucky Jackson’s was intentionally created with adults in mind: a warm, stylish neighborhood destination where grown-ups can gather, connect, celebrate, and enjoy a properly made drink. Whether you arrive in a tuxedo or a T-shirt, it’s all about style—not formality.

Our Signature Cocktails

We take our cocktails very seriously—but not ourselves. Expect top-shelf ingredients, properly made drinks, and zero unnecessary theatrics. The spotlight belongs where it should: on the people you’re with.

Our food menu deserves attention, too. Caviar and a Francheesie on the same menu tell you just about everything you need to know. Little Luxuries, eclectic comforts, and a few delicious surprises—playful, stylish, and as authentic as the room itself.
